Represents member interests before state and federal government and regulatory authorities, provides support in public and media relations, education and employee health insurance benefit programs.
 Publishes periodic surveys of member finances, compensation levels. Established charitable foundation 2005 providing scholarships for dependents of deceased or permanently disabled military in post-9/11 conflicts, expanded 2015 to include broader charitable causes; also created partnership with Habitat for Humanity for fundraising, volunteer employee labor in post-Superstorm Sandy rebuilding efforts.

Jumpstart New Jersey Angel Network

New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants

Founded 1898, represents 14,000 CPAs, about 80% of those in NJ, 11 regional and county chapters. Certification requires passage of 4-part test developed by national organization, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Primarily interested in professional licensing standards, professional liability, continuing professional education, also supports legislation restricting shareholder suits and limiting statute of limitations against accountants for corporate audits and  financial reviews, easing tax preparation and filing, increasing uniformity of various state tax provisions. Offers more than 500 continuing education programs annually, sponsors political action committee.

New Jersey Association of Public Accountants

Founded 1947, NJ Chapter of National Society of Accountants initially formed 1945 to seek approval by US Treasury Department for non-CPA and non-lawyer tax practitioners to practice before Internal Revenue Service, members accredited by Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation or admitted as enrolled agents by IRS. Members primarily small business accounting firms, independent practitioners and tax professionals. Consists of eight chapters located throughout state. 

Insurance Council of New Jersey

Represents 19 NJ licensed property/casualty insurance companies. Collectively, member companies underwrite 55% of automobile insurance policies, 59% of homeowners' insurance policies, 45% of workers' compensation policies and 47% of commercial insurance in NJ. Successor organization to New Jersey Insurance News Service organized 1977 by insurance company executives, restructured and renamed 1999 as Insurance Council of New Jersey. Sponsors political action committee, seminars and workshops. Issues include insurance reform proposals; liability laws and programs; insurance claim fraud; motor vehicle safety; health costs and coverage restrictions.

Surplus Lines Association of New Jersey

Founded 1953. Comprised of over 60 insurance brokers and carriers offering coverage in "Excess and Surplus Lines" of special risks and coverage for which no reasonable or adequate market exists among traditional admitted insurers and may be obtained from carriers not licensed in insured's state, generally where insured does  not have adequate loss history; has unique coverage requirements; or loss record not meeting underwriting requirements of standard carriers. Typical situations include coverage of general contractors, trucking companies, restaurants, bars or hotels, as well as large risks such as oil refineries, aircraft liability, property coverage on a communications satellite, etc.
