It is currently the nation's largest foundation focused solely on health with over $9 billion in assets and ranking as the ninth largest foundation in the world. It has previously supported programs to reduce tobacco smoking and to promote affordable health care and its current priorities include combating childhood obesity. It has made a special focus on improving New Jersey health care delivery with other $1.5 billion in grants within the state; its New Jersey Health Initiatives program presently is seeking to encourage collaborations in health services among universities, hospitals, businesses, policymakers, civic leaders and community organizations. * Robert Wood Johnson Foundation The Rutgers Institute for Health Care Policy and Research coordinates the University's health care research on such issues as health delivery and access.
